ABOUT CELINE

My approach to therapy is grounded in a compassionate, integrative framework, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to address your unique mental health needs. By blending evidence-based practices with alternative techniques, I create a tailored plan that supports healing and personal growth. These modalities, such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Existential Psychotherapy, Relational Psychotherapy, Gottman Method, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), allow me to help clients navigate complex emotional, cognitive, and behavioral challenges surrounding anxiety, depression, trauma, dissociation; chronic pain & illnesses; existential despair, reproductive difficulties, and relationship issues. I believe in a holistic approach that focuses on both the mind and body, ensuring that each session is personalized and addresses your specific path toward healing. Whether you’re working on personal development or resolving relationship conflicts, I draw from these diverse therapeutic modalities to foster lasting transformation.

Additionally, I supervise my associate, Kevin Lasting, AMFT, using the same therapeutic approach and modalities to ensure a standard of care at Body Meet Mind that is compassionate, integrative, effective and transformational.

Celine M. Paganini

BACKGROUND

I am a queer, sex positive, multicultural, first-generation American of French descent on my paternal side with Greek-Italian lineage on my maternal side. I was born and raised in Santa Monica, California up until college. As an existentialist, I find meaning in helping others.

I began my academic journey at the University of Southern California, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy with a minor in Political Science. From there, I worked in public relations for environmentally sustainable and socially responsible companies to support an ecologically health-conscious society grounded in equality. After some years working in the field, I focused on the individual level by pursuing a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology.

I completed my practicum at The Maple Counseling Center where I provided low-fee psychotherapy to adult individuals and groups. I furthered my education by completing trauma-informed, somatic therapy training at Pat Ogden’s Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute.  I have since become a Certified SP Level 2 graduate and a Certified SP Advanced Trauma Training in Complex Trauma and Dissociation graduate. I am in the process of completing SP's Certified Advanced Practitioner Level which concludes November 2025. Additionally, I received Certificates in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): Theory & Methodology and Psychedelic Therapy & Integration through Fluence Training and have partnered with Journey Clinical to provide KAP to my clients in private practice. Furthermore, my love for working with couples influenced me to complete Level 1 and begin Level 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy at John Gottman and Julie Gottman's Gottman Institute.

As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I worked at Resilience Treatment Center (RTC), Early Childhood Development Associates (ECDA), and Casa de la Familia (CDLF). My time working for RTC consisted of running weekly process groups, along with groups on mindfulness meditation, anger management, DBT, managing anxiety, relapse prevention, and gratitude. At ECDA, I conducted Parent & Me groups and played therapy with one- to three-year-old children. Most memorably, while at Casa de la Familia, I provided in-home, trauma-informed psychotherapy to individual and family victims of violent crimes through the California Victims Compensation Board (CalVCB).

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I blend my various education, training, and experiences into my private practice. I assist clients with integrating their social and environmental existence into their mental, physical, and spiritual health regimen to create a well-rounded approach to well-being.

ABOUT KEVIN

Kevin Lasting is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) under the supervision of Celine M. Paganini, LMFT. Kevin has a rich and diverse background in the arts and psychology. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts before spending nearly a decade in Paris and London immersed in creative pursuits. Returning to Los Angeles, he pivoted to forensic mitigation work in capital cases, an experience that deepened his curiosity about the human condition. Kevin went on to earn his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, completing advanced training at The Maple Counseling Center, where he worked with adults and co-facilitated dynamic process groups. Currently, Kevin sees children, teens, and families at Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services while also building his private practice. His clinical approach is rooted in psychodynamic psychotherapy and informed by CBT, object-relations, attachment theory, and affective neuroscience. Kevin welcomes adults, teens, and couples who are seeking to explore their patterns, relationships, and the unconscious processes that shape them—whether they’re navigating depression, anxiety, addiction, or simply want to deepen their self-understanding and personal growth. He is especially attuned to clients grappling with identity, destructive habits, or feeling stuck in repetitive cycles, and he believes in the healing power of curiosity, presence, and the therapeutic relationship itself.
